Spinal Decompression
Using a specialized machine, DRX 9000, the spine is gently stretched to relieve pressure on compressed nerves, rehydrate discs, and restore motion into the spine. Treatments last 30 minutes, and can be applied to both the neck and the low back.

MLS Laser
Utilizing both a hand held and automated device to emit a light that passes through the skin and interacts with light sensitive elements in damaged cells. This helps to promote healing to damaged cells, decrease inflammation, and increase blood flow to injured areas. Laser therapy can be variety of injuries to discs, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joints.

Mechanical Diagnosis Therapy (MDT)
A standardized assessment tool which helps to define and classify movement problems and recommend appropriate treatment. MDT helps to treat conditions like herniated discs, spinal stenosis, radiating leg/arm pain, numbness and tingling, as well as extremity joint issues. MDT also utilizes patient education, which allows the patient to continue treatment outside of the clinic and reduce treatment time.

Soft Tissue Treatment
Many of the soft tissues in our body, such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves are prone to injury. We utilize multiple techniques, such as instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, pin and stretch, end range loading, stretching, and massage.

Functional Exams
At Aspen Falls, we utilize specific exams that help tell us what is causing your pain. Most orthopedic and neurological tests show where and what is being affected, but not why it is being caused. Your initial visit will consist of a detailed history, and multiple functional, orthopedic, and neurological exams.

Electrical Stimulation
Pain relief is produced through high frequency electrical stimulation of the nerve which disrupts the pain signal so that the pain is no longer felt. Many types of pain which are often relieved with drugs can today be treated by electrical stimulation with no side effects.

Ice/Heat Therapy
When ice is used immediately following injury, swelling and inflammation are minimized and blood flow to the area is slowed to reduce the hemorrhage and bruising. Cold also controls muscle spasms, allowing the affected muscles to relax. Warm moist heat increases blood flow to affected area, providing nutrients and removing metabolic waste products, thus encouraging the healing process. Heat acts as a painkiller by over stimulating the nerve in the skin to interfere with the nervous system’s ability to recognize pain.
Biofreeze
Biofreeze gel provides deep penetrating, long lasting pain relief. It gives relief from arthritis, sore muscles and joints.
Supportive Pillows and Braces
In efforts to achieve maximum results, it’s often advantageous to stabilize injured and guarded areas. This application of support will also speed up the healing process. This may include cervical and lumbar pillows, and back and shoulder braces. These provide support and bracing comfort for both daily and nightly stability.
